Let’s get started on how to set up a VPS !!
WHAT IS A VPS
A virtual private server is a virtual machine sold as a service by an Internet hosting service.
A VPS runs its own copy of an operating system, and customers have super user-level access to that operating system instance, so can install almost any software that runs on that operating system such as Windows.
So you can remotely connect your computer/laptop at home to a virtual private server.
After you might have connected your computer to it (which I would show you soon) there will be fresh new empty windows desktop showing on your laptop screen.
You can use it just like you would use any other windows based computer.
Go on internet explorer or any of your favourite browsers, download Meta-Trader and install it the exact way you do on your computer.
There are no console commands, or crazy procedures to follow to set up a VPS for Forex Trading.
Then what are the steps you need to follow on how to set up a VPS?
1 You need to register with a virtual private service provider.
There are lots of VPS providers: For example – BeeksFinancialCloud Forex VPS Review
You can check here for more details about the top best Forex VPS Service.
All that you need is just to order, fill the form and make the payment, after payment a login detail that contains
The remote IP address, Username and Password will be sent to your registered email.
2 You need to connect your computer to the VPS.
You need to open the remote desktop connection program in windows.
This can be done by typing the word “remote desktop connection” in your Start Menu search area or finding it in your Start Menu under Accessories.
It should look something like the image below.

3 You need to connect to VPS
You need to insert the IP address you were given by the VPS provider into the computer text field.
Put the new IP address where you see some numbers on the remote desktop connection.
Then click connect button, a window would come out to insert your username and password given to you.
Then you click ok.
You should now be connected to your VPS and a fresh empty window desktop should appear.
All that’s left now is to download the Meta-Trader platform installer from your broker.
So open up Internet Explorer and browse to your broker’s website, and find the download link then download.
Once you have Meta-Trader is installed, you will want to get your expert advisor(s) on to the VPS.
You can copy it from your computer and then paste it inside the VPS and if it does not work then follow the next procedure.
Using the local resources tab on the Remote Desktop Connection.

By clicking on more you would be taken to another area

You need to click on Local Resources and click More which would take you here

Then you tick the local disk or removable disk you want to share with your VPS then you click ok.
Then check your My Computer Area on your VPS and you will see your removable disk and local disk you want to use.
Another way to share files with your VPS is that you send through emails outside the VPS then you come back and login into your VPS and download it from your email.
Install the expert advisor into your Meta-Trader experts folder just like you would do on your own computer,
and then start the MT4 terminal.
Attach the EA to the appropriate charts, and you’re done!
Autorun on startup?
If you want your MT4 terminal(s) to autorun whenever the VPS gets restarted, then just create a shortcut in the following directory. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Then your VPS is ready. You can close it.
Then the trading terminals inside will be running.
You just setup a VPS.
